True Love || Enchantment

Yeah, it's my site, I'm allowed to advertise my real sites if I want to. What's the point of having this lame Xanga thing if I can't use it to my advantage?

Sooooo... The reason for my getting a Xanga after all my protestations against the evils of this site?

I want to get people to make their own websites. I think Xanga sucks, it hinders creativity and is so limited in terms of options. I'm on the free upgrade trial thing, and this was the closest I could get to making my page look the way I want it to. BLAH. A header image, a personal photo, the colors you want, that is about all that is "customized" about Xanga. At least with Livejournal when you upgrade you can do whatever you want to your site. I think people are seriously getting ripped off by using Xanga.

And that brings me to why I'm here. I want people to see the evils of this site. Hee. If I complain and protest all over the place on my blog, that's all well and good and everything, but no one's gonna read it cuz I'm not on Xanga, and Xanga people only seem to want to read other Xanga journals. And that's another thing. The exclusiveless (is that a word?). You can only add Xanga users to your "buddy list", so people must join Xanga in order to be connected to all their friends. If you had your own site, you'd be able to link to anyone you wanted to; and anyone can comment on your entires, whether they're a member of some online journal community or not.

So please, if you're using Xanga, consider taking the next step and making your own website. It's so much more customized because you get to put whatever you want on it, it lets you express your interests and creativity so much better and easier, and it's not exclusive by any means. *All* your friends can be connected, not just the ones who are Xanga members.

blah blah blah.
